MRM's mission was to provide a platform for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioners and Acupuncturists to present and share their ideas, research and clinical experiences for the purpose of professional development and the advancement of TCM as a safe and effective mode of healthcare.

Medicinal Roots Magazine was Canada's premier online quarterly TCM publication. Since 2015, MRM grew significantly in its readership worldwide to become a trusted resource for practitioners, educational institutions, distributors, regulators and professional associations. Our editorial team was made up of various registration class practitioners, which exemplified the diverse practice areas and backgrounds that exist in the TCM field today. MRM’s tagline with the inclusion of Chinese characters into its logo, highlighted our desire to honour both the roots of TCM practice with the advances in modern medicine that contemporized its practice. MRM encouraged article submissions addressing any topic or research area related to the practice of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).
